2017 September Challenge: Back Where I Come From - Day 8

For more information on this challenge, click here.

 8. How old were you when you took your first drink of alcohol, if you ever have? What were the circumstances surrounding that moment?

I had my first taste of vodka at age 15 or 16.  Daddy most always had a bottle of Smirnoff beside his bed.  I snuck a drink whenever I had the opportunity. I don’t know how it is that they never smelled it on my breath. Regardless of what folks say, vodka is not odorless!

  1. Very true, it is not odorless. I don't drink so I can smell alcohol easily, but maybe if someone drinks it, they can't.

    1. Maybe so. Both of my parents drank, my daddy more than my mama. She would just get tipsy sometimes. He got flat out drunk. Thankfully, we got over any desire to drink a very long time ago and are "dry" folks now. :)
