2. Were either of your parents raised in your hometown? If not, how did they end up there?
Yes. My daddy was born in the same town where I was born, Anderson, South Carolina, in the same hospital. The hospital was called Anderson County Hospital when my daddy was born. Two years later, the named had been changed to Anderson Memorial Hospital and that is what it was called when I was born there.
My mother was born in Abbeville County, but her folks moved back and forth between Anderson County and Abbeville County throughout her childhood. Mama graduated high school in Anderson County, where she met my daddy.

You are just a Carolina girl through and through. I love you. Zing! Zing!
ReplyDeleteYep, a displaced Carolina girl. Once a Carolina girl, always a Carolina girl, but now with a little Texas thrown into the mix.
DeleteI love you, too, my Zing.

Nice to learn more about your family.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ellen. :) I wish that I could think of more to write for each of these questions. I just don't remember a lot about my childhood.
