Today was an adventure. We had jobs to do a zillion miles away from here and we rode through some really beautiful country. The landscape was rolling in stark contrast to the miles and miles of flat here where we live. The power lines were fewer and farther between, too, so that if I'd had time to do so, I could have gotten some really pretty big sky pictures. But, as usual, when we're in a pretty area, there's no time to stop to take pictures because we're booked solid with work and it is too dark to take them on the way back. We'll just have to find the time to go back when we aren't so booked up otherwise.
Oh yeah! I saw my first coyote in the wild on the way back today! I've seen another coyote in person, but it was in the Walmart parking lot, not at all its natural habitat. The one today was running across the road in booney-ville. It was great...and the light level was too low for me to try to photograph it. Plus, I didn't really want to risk it trying to chew off my face just because I wanted to take its picture. Maybe next time!
We also crossed over a creek named "Bessie's Creek". That one always makes me smile. I had a grand-aunt named Bessie. She was a real character and a very sweet lady. I still remember when her big, old house burned. Someone built a duplex there after that. Her house was a cool mill house and it seemed really huge to me. I sure miss Aunt Bessie. She was the oldest person that I knew on my daddy's side of the family and loaded with family history.

What Are You Reading?
Today I finished reading the book One Call Away by Brenda Warner. It was an interesting book that was given to me by BookSneeze to review. You can find my review on my P.S. Annie! blog.
I've started reading Enemies of the Heart by Andy Stanley, which was delivered via Kindle for me to review (by another company that I can't remember the name of at the moment!). It looks to be an interesting book so far.
What are you reading these days?

Writing Challenge: To My Love
Please visit this site to find all sorts of writing challenges:
Brennie's Dreamscape
The challenge that I am using for this post is:
Dreaming of You
The challenge was to write a letter to a missed loved one.
===
Dear Sexy Eyes,
I wish that you were here with me as I write this. I sit and try to remember the great times that we used to have. It is a struggle. Those great times were so long ago and have gotten lost in the shuffle of hurt and life. And I can't remember.
I want to hold you, love you, like I used to. I want to know that you love me, too, warts and all. I want the happy, smiling, excited, passionate days of our youth. I want the fear to go away. I want to know what you know, and know that you will always be here.
I need you to love me, but even in my dreams, my nightmares, you are leaving me. My heart is aching and I can't express it without causing more pain, more anger.
I love you, through all the bad, through all the good; that has never changed. Even if I wanted to stop, I can't stop loving you.
Please love me.
With all my love,
Your S.

Feedback, Please
Over the last day or so, I have been working on making changes to some things on this blog. The biggest was changing from a newer Blogger template (Simple) to one of the older templates (from 2006) called Stretch Denim. This allows full use of the page, rather than just the skinny strip down the middle.
I'm not sure yet if I like it or not. What about you?
I really liked the header on the original one, but did not have access to the same font this time. I made the header in CS4 rather than using the standard Blogger header. With this older template, I do not have use of the Template Designer feature. I can, however, still use gadgets and widgets and don't appear to have lost any of them in the change over.
I was most afraid of losing followers and comments with the change, but I didn't, and was so happy about that. :)
I would love to hear your thoughts on the new look, things you'd like to see here, changes that I should make, etc.
Some ideas that I have and hope to implement soon are as follows:
1. On Saturdays, I would like to post something related to genealogy such as a how-to, a question, a tip, and, if I can figure out how to do it, helpful forms as I create them.
2. On Sundays, I would like to post something related to writing one's life story, such as prompts that would remind you of things at different points in your life.
3. For the weekdays, I would like to start a "name game", where posts are based on the letters in our names.
These are a few of my ideas. I am open to other ideas, too. If you have any that you'd like to share with me, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Have a great day!

Changes Coming
Ok, everybody, please hold onto your hats.
I am working on some template changes and since coding and I are new friends rather than old ones, there's plenty that I don't understand yet.
Hopefully, nobody and nothing will get lost once I click the button for the changes...and if that happens, hopefully I can figure out how to grab it all back. :)
I'll see you on the other side...Here's hoping!

Sensiful Suz-Annie
The following writing prompt was found on the NaBloPoMo website. There are lots of great ones there!
Describe yourself using different five words, one for each of the senses (taste, touch, etc.).
Note: Suz does not know how to use just one word for anything. haha
Tastes: Salty...enhances, but can also burn
Feels: Soft and squishy, way too many inches to pinch here
Sounds: Very quiet, usually, and lacking confidence to project
Looks: Sad, scared, and very much like my grandma
Smells: Usually like baby powder and sometimes like flowers
How about you? How would you describe yourself using the five senses?
