Here are the fill-in-the-blanks:
1. I have seen ________________ play in concert.
2. I would like to attend a _________________ concert.
3. In the dead of Winter, I __________________________.
4. The main ringer on my cell phone is _______________.
Here are my responses:
I have seen Sandi Patty in concert as well as another Christian group, but I can’t remember that group’s name. I was in Columbia, South Carolina, for a pro-life rally and the people that drove me to the rally wanted to go to this concert, so I went, too.
At this point in my life, there are no concerts that I wish to attend.
Reason #1: I’d spend the whole time in the bathroom.
Reason #2: Loud and/or sustained noises give me a headache, which then raises my blood pressure.
Reason #3: I don’t like being in crowds of people.
In the dead of Winter, I… We don’t have a “dead of Winter” here. There are even still sunflowers alive out there right now!
The main ringer on my phone is whatever the default is right now. I haven’t figured out how to change it. Once I do, it will be the ringer that sounds like an old rotary phone ringer. Generally, though, except in extreme situations, my phone never rings. I have a very difficult time hearing on the telephone, so David makes and takes all phone calls. I have a weird hearing situation. I hear too much and that keeps me from understanding the speaker on the phone. It blurs out their words. I can hear all the background hums, etc., of which most people are completely unaware.

Suzanne, I don't talk much on the phone anymore. Part of it is hearing issues but the biggest problem for me is my attention span. I don't know if technology is to blame or something else. I'd rather shoot off a quick text to touch base with someone rather than to call. Maybe, I'm just anti-sociable. :) Good fill-in responses! Here are my Friendly Fill-ins for you!
ReplyDeleteI don't think that anyone could accuse you of being anti-social, Cathy. :) You're one of the friendliest folks I know!
DeleteThank you for stopping by and commenting. Have a great weekend!
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I don't think I would enjoy a concert now either because I don't like crowds and would be too nervous. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you to you and Annie for hosting the fill-ins. It is rather nerve-wracking to be around that many people, especially that many people that you don't know.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a blessed weekend!
In a very weird turn of events, we have a light snow in our forecast today. Suzanne, I love you. Zing! ZIng!
ReplyDeleteI love you, too.
DeleteActually even though I had an answer for #2....I am not sure I would enjoy the crowds.
ReplyDeleteThat makes several of us. I don't know how anybody can stand being in all that loudness, squished up with a lot of strangers.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a great weekend!
I rarely talk on the phone most of us text. I don't like crowds either!
ReplyDeleteTexting is a great invention. :) We can send messages to the girls when we need to without worrying that we're disrupting their classes and they can respond when they get out of class.
DeleteDo you know when you first started disliking crowds? I don't remember ever liking them.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a great weekend!
You sound like me where it comes to going to concerts, movies, or other public events for that matter. I'd rather just stay home and watch them on television. No place like home!

Staying home is better in a whole lot of ways and much cheaper, too. :)
DeleteDefinitely, no place like home!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a blessed weekend!
I had crowds too. That's probably why we don't go to concerts anymore. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThere's just too much that can go wrong in bit throngs of people. It just isn't worth it.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting. I hope that you have a great week, too. :)
My (now-deceased) aunt was close friends with Sandi Patty, back in the 1980s. They knew many of the same people involved in Christian revivals, etc.
ReplyDeleteBill uses the old rotary ringer sound for his mobile phone. Ha! If I were there, I would help you change it. I have gotten to be a bit of A Tech Geek, purely out of necessity.
Prayers for you, my friend.
How cool that your aunt was a close friend of Sandi Patty's!
DeleteThank you. I will get it figured out eventually on this phone. It just takes me a while sometimes.
Thank you for the prayers. Have a blessed evening. :)
