Throwback Thursday - 1 September 2016

Newgulf Plant, Newgulf, Texas, Circa 2006 ©2006 Suzanne G. McClendon

This is one of those shots that I wasn't supposed to have taken, only I had taken it before I knew I wasn't supposed to be taking it.  I saw the stacks and followed their beckoning until I found their home. The gate was open, so I drove right in.  It was after we drove back out of the place that I saw the sign: NO TRESPASSING.

    1. Thank you, Ellen. You don't have to be sorry. I almost didn't remember to post a Throwback post myself. haha

Have a blessed day and thanks for joining in. :)

  2. Such a cool photograph. I love places like that. If I didn't see a sign saying not to do it, I probably would have been tempted to drive to it as well. Looks like a great locale to inspire some stories.

    1. Thanks, Arlee. It is a wonderful area with all sorts of opportunities. Of course, one of the best places in that community got bulldozed last year. It was the place that I called "Serenity". You can read about it here:
      Serenity

I bet you could get into all sorts of cool trouble where you're living now. There are probably lots of abandoned places just dying for someone to investigate. :)

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a blessed day!
