The fill-in-the-blanks:

1. Something healthy I do daily is ________________________.
2, Something unhealthy I do daily is ____________________________.
3. This Summer, _____________________________ .
4. This Autumn, _____________________________ .

My responses:

1. Something healthy I do daily is drink water. However, I do not drink as much as I am supposed to. I can't drink it if we're out anywhere. It goes right through me.

2. Something unhealthy I do daily is drink Diet Coke. It is the only thing I can drink if we're away from home.

3. This summer has been very stressful and hot. I spent most of it wondering if every little twitch or slur was another stroke coming and the rest of it melting.

4. This autumn isn't getting here fast enough. I am hoping that it will cool off soon. It would also be great if we were to be surprised with actual fall colors in nature around here.

  1. Nice answers, thank you for participating in the fill-ins. You have had a hot summer, I am glad we have a true fall and it gets chilly. I can't drink diet coke, it is like alcohol to me. I can drink lots of coffee without effect, but a little diet coke makes me silly. Have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks. Thank you for co-hosting the fill-ins. :)

How interesting that Diet Coke is like alcohol to you. I've never heard of that happening before, but I do know that it gets the same response from sugar-activated kids as regular Coke does. We found that out the hard way with one of my little cousins many years ago. Her mama warned us not to give her sugar or she'd go all hyper on us. So, we gave her a caffeine-free Diet Coke. That child went off like a rocket-propelled grenade. We had to peel her from the ceiling. :)

  2. I have exactly the same issues with water! So glad to know I'm not the only sieve! Have a great weekend!

    1. I guess we faucets have to stick together, eh? haha I'm forever being told to drink more water to avoid dehydration. But, if it is going straight through me, how is it hydrating anything? It doesn't stay in there long enough to do any good.

  3. That's the exact same reason I don't drink as much water as I'm 'supposed' to - it goes right through me! Which is odd, since I have water retention that appeared when I was pregnant with Princess Nagger and it never went away.

I hope autumn arrives there quickly to relieve you of the heat and stress!!

    1. Thank you. Hopefully, the hot days will end, but I guess I will always be worried about another stroke happening.

It is really odd how water can be retained yet go straight through. Just too weird! I hope you'll be able to find a way to work it out so that water is doing what it is supposed to do for you. For me, I guess I'll just be spending the rest of my life in the bathroom. FUNSIES! Not. haha

  4. I sometimes have to watch my fluid intake. I am always conscious of where restrooms are located. Soda pop gives me tummy aches...unless I have it with ice cream! *wink*

I pray you never have another heart episode. You have a good heart, my friend. Please stay healthy. HUGS.

Thanks for being a part of Friendly Fill-Ins. I really enjoy and appreciate your thoughts, as always. Sharing and getting to know each other is what this is all about. Have a great week!

    1. I'm sorry that soda gives you a tummy ache. I love ice cream, but sometimes it makes me nauseated. I don't do well with dairy. Do you map out your trips based on potty stops? We have in the past. It is a pain in the toes to have to live like this. I feel like I'm in a real life game of Bladder Command.

      Thank you for the health wishes. Everything will be okay. Heavenly Father will heal us all some day. {{{Hugs}}}

Thank you for co-hosting the fill-ins with Ellen. I think they are fun. I enjoy learning more about our blogging buddies. David and I both enjoy the kitty photos very much, too. They are adorable. :)

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend! Oh yeah! I am working on the Sunshine Award post. I hope to have it posted by Sunday night. Thanks!

    1. Amen to that!

I'm trying to make myself cooler mentally even if it doesn't ever happen weather-wise here. I keep thinking about the fall leaves, all the beautiful colors that are soon to come back home, and it makes me feel cooler just thinking about it. :)

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a great weekend!

  6. It will be lovely when the cooler weather comes. Not the cold, necessarily, but the cooler is most certainly welcome.

    1. Yes, it will be wonderful. I am fine with cold weather, but we don't really ever get it down here. Of course, if we do, I don't know how my body will handle it this year. My internal temperature regulator just isn't what it used to be. :)

I hope that you have a wonderful autumn.

    1. Thanks! What keeps you from drinking more water than you do? Other than staying in the bathroom when I drink water, it also makes me sick to my stomach if I drink a lot of it. Good luck to you!

  8. I am the opposite of you when it comes to drinking. I can drink water and have it with me 24/7, but when I drink caffiene of any kind, and I LOVE iced tea, I need to be at home or headed that way because it keeps me going and going! :-) I used to drink a Diet Coke and have a donut or a Hershey bar for breakfast every work day... now THAT is unhealthy! :-) Yes, the heat this summer has been oppressive, and it certainly would aggravate the issues you already deal with. I join you in welcoming the cooler days of Autumn. We rarely have any fall colors here, like we did in Dakota when I was growing up, and I really miss that!

    1. I'm glad that you're able to drink water without it keeping you in the bathroom. That is great. You can be healthy on the road. There's no redeeming value, health-wise, to Diet Coke, but let's look at donuts and chocolate. Flour comes from corn or wheat, so its a vegetable and cocoa comes from beans, so its a vegetable. I think donuts and chocolate are healthy. haha Oh yeah, and when I see the Hershey brand, I think of those pretty kiss-shaped light fixtures in Hershey, PA, and smile. They say laughter is the best medicine, so maybe smiling comes in a close second. :)
Silliness aside, I am glad that you are into a healthier lifestyle now. I hope that I will be someday, too.

Maybe we'll be rewarded for enduring a terribly hot summer by getting to have a true fall this year, including the beautiful colors. Wouldn't that be something? :)

I don't know if you've seen the post yet or not, but there is an award for you at: Sunshine Blogger Award Thanks for the smiles that you bring me. :)

      Have a beautiful day!
