QUESTIONS

Would you rather drive or be driven?

I have been the sole driver for our family since 1996. I am a much better driver than passenger. I stink as a passenger. But, with my health issues stepping up, I am having to hand over the reins and become a passenger in the very near future. It will drive both me and the driver du jour crazy!

If you had your choice of a shiny new BMW with no conveniences inside, or an older model Ford or Chevy with everything one could want for comfort and convenience inside, which would you choose?

Hands down, I would choose a black and white 1957 Chevy Bel Air just like my daddy had AND the 1960-something white Thunderbird that he had when I was in junior high school.

Do you eat many vegetables?

I love veggies, but we don't have them nearly as often as I would like to have them. Hopefully, that will be changing very soon.

If you could blink your eyes and make a change to your body, face, hair, or nails, what would you change?

Can it be more than one change? If so, I would delete about 70 pounds of extra "me", reshape my nose, and make my eyes be balanced instead of having a lazy eye that is also crossed. I also might make myself about 6 inches taller.

Please finish this sentence. "Goody! Someone just gave me two hundred dollars and I must spend it doing something enjoyable today. I'm going to___________________."

...Take a long drive to somewhere other than this county looking for flowers to photograph and cemeteries to visit!

    1. I think that they are fascinating places, too. I love to read the markers and think about how life might have been for them. The baby markers are sad to come across, but they often bring on some very interesting discussions. They remind us how hard life has been in certain time periods to get a child to adulthood.

One of the cemeteries back home in South Carolina has a section called "Baby Hill". It is full of babies lost during the flu pandemic of the 1918-1919 time frame. Many other folks from that pandemic are there, too.

We've been to some really, really old cemeteries, too, with revolutionary soldiers buried in them. One of them was my 6th great-grandpa Andrew Pickens.

We're been to some that were also pretty creepy, especially during a drought. The ground was so dry that it was cracked open with huge cracks and you could see down into the graves somewhat. Very creepy!

    1. Here's to both of us in trying to get rid of our excess baggage I've never seen the movie American Graffiti, but I loved my daddy's Thunderbird. I had high hopes of it being mine when I was old enough to drive. No such luck. He ended up selling it. :-(

  4. Thinking about your last answer, you'd probably love to venture out here. We are in a Colonial area. There are some really neat graveyards. We also have great flowers to photograph. I make a better driver than passenger for most people. Hubby is a good driver, but many others make me nervous. :O

    1. I think that your area would be a fun one to visit. I love historical places and, of course, the cool graveyards.

My husband is starting to drive again after a 19 year break from it. He stopped driving because of his health, but because of mine he has had to restart. I am not being a stress-free passenger at all.

What are your favorite flowers in your area?

      Have a great week!
