A to Z April Challenge: E is for Eggs

Do you like eggs? If so, do you cook them often? What is your favorite way to have them?

I like eggs in the following ways:

Boiled: This was the only way I would eat eggs when I was a little girl. And not just boiled. They had to be Easter eggs.

Scrambled: These are versatile and quick to make. We sometimes mix cheese and other things in with them.

Deviled: David absolutely LOVES deviled eggs. I like them, too, but he will eat as many as I make him, so I have to be careful how many I make him. If I make a dozen, he'll happily eat a dozen. :)

Sunny-side Up: I like eggs like this with toast. I don't have this type of egg very often.

This post would have had pictures, but the egg pictures that I was planning to use seem to have disappeared from my files. I don't know where they have gone.

    1. You're welcome and thank you, too, for commenting here.

Our youngest daughter likes eggs pretty much any way that we can fix them. The other two kids don't care for them at all.

I hope that you have a great weekend, too. What's left of it, that is. :)

    1. What is it about deviled eggs that you don't like?

I don't particularly care for the name of them, and some I've tasted have been too pickle-y. Some people put mustard in them, too, and I am not sure I'd like that.

I've never had poached eggs, but I understand it is how my grandpa liked them. I have no clue how to poach an egg.

  4. I love all of those ways to cook eggs. My favorite is deviled, but I'm lazy and don't like to do the work to make them. Boiled eggs seem to be the easiest for me.

    1. Boiled is overall the easiest for me, too, but peeling them is sometimes a hassle. I want the shells to come off perfectly. Sometimes that happens, most of the time it doesn't. I haven't figured out the secret yet.

  5. We'd bettter like eggs...we have about 40 head of chickens. LOL I don't think there is a way you can have an egg we don't have it. Some things you didn't mention: scrambled egg sandwiches, omeletes, and as Eggs a la Goldenrod. Which is where you talk hard boiled eggs, seperate the whites and the yolks, add the whites to cream gravy. Spoon cream gravy over toast and sprinkle yolks you have minced witha fork over the top. Delicious!

    1. How cool that you have so many chickens! I like chickens. I think they are cute. Down in Bay City (Texas), there is a huge metal chicken in front of a little chicken restaurant.

I couldn't have any that I intended for meat purposes, but having them for eggs I could deal with.

On occasion, we have scrambled egg sandwiches, but most of the time we have deviled egg sandwiches. We'll have to try this Eggs a la Goldenrod sometime. Thanks for sharing this way of enjoying eggs with me.
