QUESTIONS

Do you like avocados?

Yes! I love them. I really love chunky guacamole. I used to not like guacamole (even though I hadn't tried it) because it made me think of pureed frogs. I think that my sister-in-law might have had a part in me seeing it that way. After getting brave enough to try it, I grew to love it. I like avocados straight, too. They are very healthy fruits!

Have you ever gone on a roller coaster?

Yes and I absolutely loved them when I was younger. They were so exciting. Now, I'm too much of a fraidy-cat and have too many health issues to tempt fate with one. The last time that David and I rode the Scream Machine at Six Flags over Georgia, we were beaten half to death and pretty much decided then that we wouldn't be getting on any more.

Do you do cross stitch, needlepoint, crewel work, or needle punch?

Not anymore. I used to do cross stitch. I really enjoyed it, but I just can't see well enough to do it now.

Do you cook with gas or electric?

I cook with electric, though the kitchen is plumbed for gas. I don't know how to use gas for cooking and am afraid that I'd blow something up or gas us to death if I tried.

Tell me something good, pleasant, or uplifting. Please.

Well, how about the fact that David and I are giving a go at extreme couponing? Or, at least, almost extreme couponing? Or, as close to it as the stores around here will allow it? So far, we haven't found a store in our local area that doubles coupons or allows stacking of coupons. Nor have we found one that allows cash back. We have found some things like Checkout 51 that seems to be a pretty neat thing. CVS's Extra Bucks program is working pretty good for us, too. We'll see how it goes.

In our opinion, saving anything is better than not, so even if we can't get the savings of the extreme couponers shown on the TLC show "Extreme Couponing", we're at least a step in the right direction. :)

    1. Thank you. I am enjoying it a great deal when I'm able to leave the store with stuff and getting it really cheap. The other day I was able to get a pack of BIC Sensitive razors at Dollar General and left with them having paid me 27 cents to take them! Free is great; getting paid to leave with it is even better. The clerk and I both were surprised. :)

  3. I use to love the extras I got with CVS, sadly when we moved to MO, there are no CVS in our town. I haven't seen what the deal is with Walgreen's rewards yet.

    1. I'm sorry to hear that there's no CVS in your town. It is the one that we've had the best luck with so far. They don't argue about the coupons and they allow stacking of a store coupon with a manufacturer's coupon AND they have the Extra Care Bucks, too. AND the Rewards Card can be used at the same time. Not too long ago, we had to get some over-the-counter sinus medicine for David. We had a store coupon, a manufacturer's coupon, and our rewards card. The medicine was $6.39. We left only paying about $1.60 for it after the coupons and rewards card discounts. I'm liking this better and better the more that I do it.

One place around here that isn't too good about being coupon friendly is our Walmart. If the coupon won't scan, even when the same type scanned just before it, they won't take it and they don't allow their cashiers to manually input them anymore either. Very frustrating!

I hope that your Walgreens will work out great for you.
