Maggie is in the dentist office now, waiting to have her braces removed. She feels really bad as she is still pretty congested, but also there is no joy as there was when we last came here.
She was supposed to have her braces removed last month. She spent over a month being all excited about them coming off, couldn't sleep the night before, etc. Then, we got here and they told her that they couldn't remove them because the cast for the retainer had been done wrong. They knew about this error for about two weeks before that appointment and didn't even bother to call so that they could go ahead and re-do the cast. When she came out of the office that day, she was so mad that a King Cobra wouldn't have stood a change against her!
Hopefully, today will work out differently for her and she will come out of there wire-free.
Update! YAYAY! Mags came out of the dentist's office with a huge smile on her face. The braces have now been replaced by a retainer. She has to wear the retainer all day and night (except during meals) for a week and, afterwards, she only has to wear it at night.
Woo Hoo. Great news.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Denise. She is so glad to have the braces behind her!

I'm glad to hear this.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Romi. I am pretty happy about it myself. I was so worried that she'd come out of there upset again with the braces still on.
