Our babies were raised from an early age in cemeteries because of my family history research. Is it a surprise that our oldest girl would want to do a photo shoot in a cemetery?  I'm not at all surprised!

This cemetery (spelled "cementery" on the sign above the gate) has some pretty cool features, the first being that it is out in the middle of nowhere.  But, my favorite part of it is the pretty gate.

These trees were located on the family "plantation" back in Starr, South Carolina, the year that I turned 17.  The original was taken on a Polaroid 600 and then scanned into the computer. Saturation was increased a little bit in Adobe CS4.

As we head into the holiday season, there is an increased need for blood at the area blood centers.  Holidays mean more partying, and more partying generally leads to more accidents, hence the increased need for blood during this time of year. Partying, drinking, and driving do not mix.

Party responsibly...and give blood to help save the victims of those who do not heed the warning:

Bobbing for apples is something that I have never been the least bit interested in doing, even as a child. I couldn't see sticking my head in a tub of water and apples that other people had been drooling in and biting on. ICK! 

I don't know where any apple-bobbing is going on around here, so I took a picture of a couple of baskets of apples instead.
