Important Notice!!! We are currently dealing with a serious health crisis involving David. Computer time and blogging will be taking a backseat until we can get this situation under control and, hopefully, save his leg. Please bear with us as we go through this difficult time. Thank you for any prayers that you can offer up.

Also, if you'd love to help cheer him up, please subscribe to his YouTube channel. That would really make his day! The link is at the bottom of all of my posts.

Thank you and Merry Christmas to all of you!

Friendly Fill-Ins

This is a fun meme co-hosted by 15 and Meowing and McGuffy's Reader. Be sure to visit and join in the fun!

Please pardon any wonky formatting here. I'm using David's computer, precariously balanced on a night table and it just is too wobbly for my liking!
We are now in a nursing home for who-knows-how long, but it shouldn't be more than 20 days as that is all Medicare will cover. So, there is at least a little light at the end of this seemingly endless tunnel.

Please accept our apologies for not doing the blog visiting that we should be doing. There are just too many things against that happening right now: internet issues/restrictions, interruptions, etc. Thank you
for visiting, reading, and commenting anyway. It is appreciated very much!

Here are the fill-ins:

1. I would like to ask _____ why _____?
2  My favorite fast food restaurant is ______.
3. If I could go to any concert of someone still performing, it would be ______.
4. My Winter pastime is usually _____, because _____.

Here are my responses:

I would like to ask my mother why I was never good enough to be loved by her, why everything was my fault. This is going to be a running theme as I read through the book Will I Ever Be Good Enough? By Karyl McBride, Ph.D.

My favorite fast food restaurant is probably Burger King.

If I could go to any concert of someone still performing, it would probably be Travis Tritt or Randy Travis. But, I would be very unlikely to go to a concert as I do not like to be in crowds of people. I’d rather just listen on the radio or YouTube.

My winter pastime is usually watching for any early signs of the spring wildflower show because I love photographing wildflowers. Last year, they popped before Valentine’s Day!

Have a blessed weekend, y’all!

  1. Thank you for participating, I know it is tough to do from the hospital. I am sorry about your mother being that way toward you. The Spring wildflowers are something to look forward to. XO

  2. Thanks for trying to join us, even with difficulties. Sadly, I cannot see your entire post, only the left half of it.

I wish you and David the best, as always. I truly understand the difficulties. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hugs.
