What food are you most grateful for?
I am grateful for all of the food that Heavenly Father blesses us to have. My favorite foods are shrimp and cheesecake, but I am probably most thankful for those foods commonly associated with Thanksgiving Day. Fond memories at my Granny Gunter’s house are associated with those foods.
Heavenly Father, thank you for turkey and dressing and banana pudding and pineapple-coconut cake and my granny, who loved me in her own special way.

Granny did cook a great Thanksgiving dinner, even if she did stub her toe on occasion. I love you, Zing! Zing!
ReplyDeleteEven that toe-stubbing incident was still a great dinner. Good thing I like sage. :)
DeleteI love you, too, my Zing.
I like how you differentiated between the foods you enjoy most simply for the taste and the others with the connection to warm memories.

Thank you, Barbara. :) Many times our Thanksgivings back then were loaded with drama, but I still have very fond memories of those holidays at Granny's house. That woman could sure cook and seemed to love setting a yummy spread for all of us. I know we sure enjoyed eating it. haha
DeleteHave a blessed weekend.
You are making me hungry :)
ReplyDeleteI made me hungry writing it, too. haha
