Here are the fill-ins:
1. An Easter (or Passover) tradition I have is ______________.
I don’t know that I really have any Easter traditions anymore. When I was a kid, we went to church and also Easter egg hunts (not always on Easter Sunday). We also went to Granny Gunter’s house for lunch. We carried on the idea of a special Easter lunch for many years here at McClendon Villa, but since the kids have all moved on with their lives, many things have changed. This is one of them.
2. My favorite flavor of ice cream is _____________.
If it is chocolate, it is my favorite. I love Blue Bell Dutch Chocolate, and Moose Tracks, and Rocky Road, and those swirly ones that combine chocolate and vanilla, and several others.
3. One of my favorite Easter/Passover memories is _____________________.
One of my favorite Easter memories is going to Granny’s house for lunch. She was the best cook ever. And, she loved me.
4. My favorite Spring flower is _____________________.
All of them! I love all of the spring flowers. AND we finally got some dandelions in our yard. I am very happy about that!

We are part of the Select Few who love dandelions. I love you. Zing! Zing!
ReplyDeleteYep. I don't understand why so many folks hate them. I love you, too, my Zing. :)
DeleteThank you for participating in the fill-ins, nice answers. Your dandelions look nicer than the ones we have around here. I like chocolate ice cream too, and there is one with peanut butter mixed in and little reeses peanut butter cups. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ellen. What do your dandelions look like?
DeleteOoh I love chocolate and peanut butter ice cream. I love chocolate and peanut butter independently and together. :)
Have a blessed and happy Easter weekend. :)
Dandelions are pretty, and the greens are nutritious, so i don't get why people don't like them!
ReplyDeleteI don't either. I have never eaten one (at least, not that I know of!), but I have looked at lots of them. I think they are beautiful. Folks see them as weeds. Maybe in regards to the Heavenly realms, people are weeds, too, but Heavenly Father loves us anyway. :)
DeleteHave a blessed and happy Easter weekend. :)
I remember the old Easter dinners with grandparents. That was a special time. Maybe when the grandkids start coming, you will start that back up!
ReplyDeleteI like dandelions, and feature them on my poetry book: Weeds
I always gather them for feed, when I wean wild bunnies, too. My brother in law makes dandelion wine, though I have not tried that!
Happy Easter. Wishing you all continued blessings. Hugs.
Maybe. But, I don't know that I will live long enough to see grandchildren.
DeleteI've never had dandelion wine or dandelion food either. I bet your bunnies love them, though. :)
Have a blessed and happy Easter weekend, Annie. :)
I really like your dandelion picture! I miss Blue Bell ice cream! We lived in Texas for four years. I miss blue bonnets and Blue Bell ice cream. Your memory for #3 is sweet. I miss my grandma so much, especially at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Thanks, Annie! I've become a really wobbly picture taker, but I keep trying. This flower was nice and still for me in the two seconds we had of no wind blowing and making it dance.
DeleteAhhh the Texas BBs, bluebonnets and Blue Bell. Those have to be two of the best things about Texas.
Thank you. I miss my granny something fierce. She was a character, that one. :) I'm sorry that your grandma is gone, too. {{{Hugs}}}
Have a blessed and happy Easter weekend. :)
