1. In the Spring, I look forward to the wildflowers! This is probably the prettiest time of year for Texas. There are wildflowers absolutely everywhere!

2. I would love to have a no kind of party. I am just not into parties.

3. Few know this about me, but I had our first child the year that I turned 21. My mama had her first child (me!) the year that she turned 21. My grandma (mama’s mama) had her first child the year that she turned 21. My sister had her first child when she was 21, too.

4. No one was put here to do what I was put here to do. Heavenly Father has a job especially for me and only for me. I’ve just got to figure out exactly what that is.

I think you were put here to uplift others. It seems you are good at listening to people who are hurting. I love you. Zing! Zing!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I love you, too, my Zing.
DeleteThank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I look forward to photos of your wildflowers. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ellen, I appreciate that. I look forward taking their pictures every spring. These flowers are a great reminder of Heavenly Father's artistry. :)

I've heard that the Texas wildflowers are a sight to behold in the spring! I'm hoping based on your reply to Ellen that you're planning on taking pictures so I can live vicariously through you! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou and David are perfect for each other with your no-party response! :)
Oh wow! It seems the age of 21 is a magical time for childbirth in your family! ;)
You are so right! We are each individually put on this earth under God's great plan - I for one am glad you were put on this earth! :)
Have a great weekend!
Thank you, Stacy. In addition to the pictures in this post, I plan to take many more wildflower photos this season. :)
DeleteThank you also for being glad that I'm here. That is sweet of you to say and I appreciate it.

I lived in the DFW area for about four years. I loved the bluebonnets so much. I miss them and am constantly pinning bluebonnet pictures in Pinterest. How funny and interesting that everyone seems to have her first child in your family at that same age! I completely agree with you on #4. God has a plan for each of our lives and it's always for good.
ReplyDeleteBluebonnets are beautiful flowers. I love the Indian Paintbrushes and Indian Blankets, too. I rarely see the Blankets, though. I don't know why they are such a rarity now. When we first moved here, we saw lots of them. Now, we're lucky to see even just one in a season. You're welcome to pin any of my photos that you want to. :)
DeleteThank you! I think it is interesting how it worked out, too. Another age that is important in our family is 76. My Great-grandma and grandpa Pressley, their daughter Aunt Mae, and my grandma (their daughter Maggie), all died the year they turned 76. I don't know the age of their other daughter (Aunt Julia)that made it to adulthood.
He has good plans for all of us. I just wish that it was clearer what each of us specifically is supposed to be doing, beyond loving people and sharing His Word with them. I keep feeling like there's something that I am supposed to be doing, but that I'm not doing it. That is frustrating. I want to do what I'm meant to do rather than wasting time wondering what that something is.

Wildflowers are so beautiful. I live in the city so don't see too many but the zoo has a great display of native wildflowers. I don't like parties either and try to avoid them.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that you don't get to see many wildflowers in your city, but glad the zoo has them for you!
DeleteFor the most part, no one ever invites us to parties, so avoiding them is pretty easy. The last time we got invited to a party, the one doing the inviting had us working the same night as the party he invited us to. We can't be two places at once. haha

Your wildflowers are lovely!! It will be quite some time before we have wildflowers up here... except maybe snowdrops if the ground thaws quick enough.
ReplyDeleteLove you #4 - perfect :)
Thanks, Rory, on all counts. When do the wildflowers usually show up there? If only it would ever get cold enough to snow anything around here...flakes, drops, I'm not picky. :) Maybe you'll get thawed out soon!

Maybe you are already doing what you were meant to do. Keep doing it.Hugs.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Annie. I don't know that I'm "doing" anything, though. At least it doesn't feel like anything. Thank you for your encouragement, though. I appreciate it. :)
