1. Can you believe it's the end of January? What was the best day of January 2017 for you, and why?
The best day of January that I can remember was New Year’s Day. Our girls were here and we were in contact with our Marine.

2. What sounds make up the background noise in your life?
The background noises of my life include keyboards clicking and air conditioners and cars whizzing by at a zillion miles an hour.

3. I read on the Power of Positivity website a list of ten things to drop from your life right now. They are-

anger outbursts, people who put you down, regret, negative self-talk, being a people pleaser, the notion you need to be perfect, the past (but keep the lessons learned!), gossip and judgment, comparing yourself to others, and the word hate (focus on what you love instead)

Which thing on the list do you most need to drop? Are you trying or will you try?
There are several on the list that I need to drop and, yes, I am willing to try and have been trying.  Things just seem to keep happening to keep the negative self-talk and comparisons in high gear. The angry outbursts won’t stop until that part is handled.

4. What is sacred to you?
Life, family, freedom, my salvation, the Bible…all of these things are sacred to me.

5. January is National Oatmeal month. Are you a fan, and if so how do you like it?
I like oatmeal okay.  It isn’t my favorite nor is it my least favorite food.  I like it with brown sugar and Mrs. Butterworth syrup mixed in.  I’m sure that just zaps the ‘healthy’ right out of it, but it is the only way I can tolerate it.

6. What feelings does twilight stir up in you?

Usually, it makes me have feelings of awe over what a great painter our Heavenly Father is.  Can you imagine having all of the colors of the universe available at your disposal and creating a new Master piece every single day, no two ever exactly alike?

7. Something you're looking forward to next month?
If by “next month” you mean February, I’m looking forward to the last week of it and hopefully early wildflowers. If you’re referring to March, most definitely the wildflowers and a major nature photo shoot!

8. Insert your own random thought here.
I am very happy to be able to make this post today!

    1. Best wishes to you as you work on the angry outbursts. Do ever feel like other folks have taken it on as their purpose in life to pull your triggers? I sure feel like that sometimes.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a blessed day!

    1. Thanks, Paula! Oops! I didn't take that photo myself, but I wish that I had. I saw it and thought it was so beautiful that I had to put it with this post. I forgot to add the source. Thank you so much for making me notice my oversight. I'll credit the source now. Have a blessed week!

  3. That first day of the New Year sounds like a perfect day to me! If you use real organic 100% maple syrup it is healthier for you. Sending blessings your way.....

    1. Cool! Could you share her blog link with me? I'd love to see the bluebell. The only kind of bluebell that I know anything about is Blue Bell ice cream. :)
Thanks and I hope that you have a blessed weekend, too!
