Guided by His Light: A Child’s Bedtime Prayer Book

I was given an uncorrected galley copy of Guided by His Light by the publicist in order that I might review it. I am not required to give it a positive review. However, a positive impression is what I have of this little book of prayers.=

This is a beautifully illustrated book. Images include children with family members, pets, and other animals. The colors are beautiful and the theme of love and peace is great.

Many of the prayers are rhymes and have a wonderful sing-song rhythm. Some are more like poems than prayers. It would be a wonderful book to have at bedtime, encouraging a life-long habit of prayer and gratefulness in one’s child or children.

This book is intended for children 5+. Though the font is a pretty one, it might complicate things for early readers who prefer to read on their own. This would be a perfect opportunity for a bonding moment between parent and child.
