Currently...A Life List

Better late than never, right?  I had intended to make this post on Monday, but time kept finding other things for me to do. So, here it is...

http://smidgensbitsandsnippets.blogspot.com/2016/12/the-week-of-christmas-life-list.html

Looking out my window....It is very dark out there right now and overcast. Rain is forecast for sometime this weekend.

As I ponder....what life will be for me if I do go blind. I can’t imagine never being able to take a picture or read or research again.

What I'm reading....nothing specifically at the moment, though a sweet friend sent a book to me that I received today and will start reading it shortly. The name of the book is The Four Agreements.

What I’m watching…we just finished another round of Miracle on 34th Street (the original one with the little Dutch girl and Natalie Wood) and, of course, Hotel Transylvania 1 & 2. Can’t live without that little baby vampire. :)

What I’m hearing…the air conditioner, our baby girl coughing, our keyboards clicking, and David reading FoxTrot comics to me.

What’s on my camera…I have three photos that I will be sharing here shortly. I have to figure out how to edit them on this computer first, so please check back to see them. :)
UPDATE: I finally figured it out!

What’s happening in the kitchen…today is fried shrimp day and we were able to get some. That is going to be our midnight snack tonight.

A quote I want to share…

The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other. ~Burton Hillis

And a bonus quote...Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree. In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall. ~Larry Wilde, The Merry Book of Christmas

A peek into my week…Other than celebrating Christmas with our girls, hoping to talk to Davey again, and taking our oldest back and forth to work, there are no real plans for the rest of this week.

A final thought…
Merry Christmas, y’all, and a very Happy New Year! May 2017 holding nothing but home, happiness, and healthiness for all of you!

  1. We are forecast to get rain on Christmas Day! And possibly some bad thunderstorms! I love both of your quotes! I wish you the best in your decision to have your cataracts removed. You should not 'go blind'. Modern medicine is such a good thing. Many of the people who I cared for after surgery were very pleased with the results!

    1. I hope that you don't end up with thunderstorms on Christmas Day, most especially. We had rain this morning, but not bad. I'm glad you enjoyed the quotes.
Thank you for the well wishes regarding the cataract surgery. David just posted an update and I'm getting ready to post one myself. We found a doctor that does twilight sleep for patients with anxiety issues. YAYAY! Now, I am feeling much better about this!
I am glad that your patients were happy with their results. Did they still need to wear glasses afterwards, or just reading glasses? I heard the other day about a corrective lens that could be implanted, but it costs significantly more than the one they usually put in because of cataracts. I can't go that corrective route, but I think it is very cool that it exists for those that can afford it.
Thanks so much for your encouraging spirit and reassurances. Have a very Merry Christmas!
