JNW's Halloween Challenge: Day 8 - Corn Maze/Hay Ride

I don't know that there are any corn mazes around here. Thanks to Children of the Corn, I wouldn't be inclined to go to any even if there were!

This time of year, there are hay bales everywhere we turn. I love to see them scattered in the fields.  It is a beautiful sight to behold, especially at sunrise and sunset.   Here are a few hay bale photos that we've taken over the last couple of days, all taken just before sunset.

This first photo has been cropped and the contrast was adjusted.

      Isn't it just a beautiful sight? Especially with the sunset glowing across them. I just love it. I'm a country girl, through and through, though I'm stuck living in town right now.

    Beautiful photos, that is big hay. Around here we have little rectangular bales.

      Some of the farmers around here do the rectangular/square bales, too, but mostly these days we're seeing round ones. They did the round ones back home in South Carolina, too. I always called them Tootsie Rolls when they had them lined up end-to-end. :)

      The little rectangle ones make great photo props, especially if you're sure there are no snakes or spiders in them.

      Thank you, Jennifer. There are some really pretty areas around here. The challenge is keeping all of the power lines out of the photographs. A lot of the time that is impossible. I got lucky with these fields. :)
