Important Notice!!!

Praise the Lord! After 6 weeks or so of dealing with medical facilities, we are finally back in our own home. David's foot is looking much, much better. There are still a few hurdles to cross, but he'll make it.

Please bear with us as we get adjusted to being home again and get back in the swing of blogging again.

Thank you for continued prayers!!!

Also, if you'd love to help cheer him up since YouTube has decided he is unworthy of monetization since his isn't a huge channel, please subscribe to his YouTube channel and watch the videos. That would really make his day! He has to have at least 1000 subscribers and 4,000 minutes of watch time within 30 days in order to be able to keep the monetization option.

September 19-Somethin' Challenge: Day 4

4. Did you have a sports hero?  Who was he or she and what was their sport?

I have never really been a sports person, so no one was really a sports hero to me, at least not anything above the local level.  David and I went to school with some terrific football players. Dinky, Jerome, Mitch, and a host of others were the stars in our world.

I tried to find photos of all three of the guys mentioned above, but was only able to find a photo of Dinky. He was an outstanding athlete and was a starter all four years of high school.

Newspaper snippets found at Newspapers.com. Final image by Suzanne G. McClendon.

Please be sure to read David's 19-Somethin' post over at Random Thoughts and Observations.

Please subscribe to David's YouTube Channel. Thanks!

    1. Thanks, Ellen. :) 1979 was a great year for our football team.

It is almost always a great year for the girls' softball team, too. They were/are almost always state champions.

We were a country school, but they knew how to do the thing to get the points. :)
