September 19-Somethin' Challenge: Day 22

22. When did you first live on your own? Did you buy or rent your first home? Do you have a picture of it? Please share it if you do.

I have never lived on my own, unless you count living in a dorm room alone.  I went from my parents' home to my cousin's house, then on to college, and then David and I got married.  This is a photo of our first house while it was being remodeled.  We rented it from his parents.

      Thank you. It sure holds some happy memories. It's where we started our married life together. It is a special house. Papa Bruce customized the kitchen for me. He had everything built in there to accommodate my lack of height. They put in what I chose in regards to colors, wallpaper, all that sort of thing. It had a great walk-in pantry, too. :) We were very blessed. I wish we'd never left that house.
