Here are the fill-in-the-blanks:
1. I can’t wait for the new season of ___________________________ on television.
2. In my home, ____________________needs to be repaired.
3. I thought I lost ________, but ______.
4. Once, I found _______.
Here are my responses:
- I am not anxiously waiting a new season of anything on television. I like watching My Little Pony when the kids send us links to the new episodes. Otherwise, I am perfectly content watching/listening to Hotel Transylvania 2 every day. Who can't use some cuteness in their day?
- David and I need to be repaired. We're falling apart. This house is the same age as me, so things are starting to go wonky with it, too. Plumbing and electrical issues are always a thing in a house this age. Cosmetic issues abound, but we'll get to each thing as we can.
- I thought I lost my ability to write poetry, but, slowly, I am being given the words again.
- Once I found a puppy that had been hit by a car and we brought him home. Actually, he initially went to Papa Bruce's house, but he ended up living with us. Papa named him Bin. A little bit of information about that morning will be coming up soon in one of David's September 19-Somethin' posts. Bin is the black dog in the photo below. Gus is the brown dog and Bandit is the kitty.

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, I always enjoy your answers. I have never seen Hotel Transylvania, I need to look into this. That was nice of you to save the puppy.I am glad you are writing poetry again. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ellen, for co-hosting the fill-ins with Annie. I enjoy answering them. :) Sometimes I can't think of very long answers, but I seem to make up for that on other occasions with chatty fingers. haha
DeleteYes, please do check into Hotel Transylvania 2. It is a great little movie. It is intended for children, but it is a great family movie and the little vampire is so cute!
Thank you. I am glad to be writing poetry again, too. Most of what I am writing right now are haiku, or at least attempts at haiku. I have signed up for a poetry challenge in October. If I don't forget about it by then, you'll get to see more of my haiku throughout October. I look forward to it.
I hope that you have a great weekend, too. :)
I agree, there is no TV show I follow intensely enough to care about when the season starts again. It used to happen once a year, now there are several "seasons". Sigh. I loved your answer to things wearing out, ditto for us and our house! :-) I am anxious to hear more about the put you found. Looks like you were his angels! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI wonder why they have gone from one season a year to multiple seasons?
DeleteThank you. We'll all get through these growing pains somehow. Maybe we won't wear out too quickly. :)
More about little Bin will be in David's post about the Challenger on the 17th.
I hope that you have a great weekend!
Suzanne, y'all sure do have a tender spot for pets. I do, too. I hate when an animal is hurt. Thankfully, I haven't had to deal with these sorts of issues but am glad there are people such as yourselves who go the extra mile to make sure these animals are cared for. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI think that Heavenly Father marked us and our homes some kind of way so that animals know they are safe with us, so they come to us. It is upsetting to see them hurting and suffering. Sometimes there's nothing that can be done, but thankfully, Bin got better. You can read more about him on David's 19-Somethin' post on the 17th.
DeleteIf more people were like you, and Ellen, and Annie, and the others, then no critter would have to suffer from things that humans can control. Wouldn't it be great if everyone loved animals?
Have a great weekend!
Funny, I don't consider myself a good reader of poetry but I love writing it! I'm so glad the puppy you saved ended up living with you :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you enjoy writing poetry, too. :)
DeleteThank you. We're glad he survived and was able to live with us, too. We never did find out who he belonged to. This was about 30 years ago, so I am sure he is in a much better Home now than we were able to provide him here on earth.
Have a great weekend!
Poetry is one of my favourite things to write. I did my whole A-Z month on poetry. If you get a chance, please check out my Poetry Page. I love writing essays and stories, too. Flash fiction is fun! I have those on my Stories Page.
ReplyDeleteWe are wearing out, too. That is a constant repair issue.
Thanks for being a part of Friendly Fill-Ins! Hugs!

I will definitely check out your poetry page, Annie. I look forward to reading it.

I guess repairs at this stage of our lives just comes with the territory, but I wish they weren't necessary. I hope you're feeling better.
Thanks for co-hosting the fill-ins with Ellen. I enjoy them very much. :)
Have a blessed weekend!
