Important Notice!!!

Praise the Lord! After 6 weeks or so of dealing with medical facilities, we are finally back in our own home. David's foot is looking much, much better. There are still a few hurdles to cross, but he'll make it.

Please bear with us as we get adjusted to being home again and get back in the swing of blogging again.

Thank you for continued prayers!!!

Also, if you'd love to help cheer him up since YouTube has decided he is unworthy of monetization since his isn't a huge channel, please subscribe to his YouTube channel and watch the videos. That would really make his day! He has to have at least 1000 subscribers and 4,000 minutes of watch time within 30 days in order to be able to keep the monetization option.

U is for Unique

The Statesmen Quartet had a unique sound that many tried to recreate, but you can't duplicate perfection. I've heard it said that it would be years before anyone could really compete with their sound. In my opinion, there's still no competition. No one else has achieved their style and class. Yes, there have been other great gospel music groups over the years, but no one will ever top The Statesmen Quartet, especially their perfect grouping of Denver Crumpler, Jake Hess, Doy Ott, and Jim "Big Chief" Wetherington along with Hovie Lister.

    1. How nice that it was a song enjoyed by your mother. I am glad that you loved it, too. I've liked almost all of the songs that I've heard them sing so far. I know there are many more that I haven't heard yet.

  4. My mother-in-law used to love sitting in her favorite rocker and listening to gospel music. I wonder if she ever heard this group.

    1. That would be interesting to know. We've asked my mother if she ever heard them. She had not, at least not that she could remember. David's aunt loves them.
