My plan is to use a list format for my A to Z April Challenge posts. Be sure to click the button above to join along in the fun!
Here are a few of my favorite artists and one of my favorite works by each artist:
1. Claude Monet, French Impressionist painter, Vétheuil in the Fog, 1879
2. Caravaggio, Baroque painter, The Calling of St. Matthew, 1599-1600
3. Vincent Van Gogh, Post Impressionist painter, Starry Night, 1889
Who are your favorite artists? Your favorite work of art? It doesn't have to be a painting. It could be a piece of sculpture or a photograph, pottery or even fiber art. Please share in the comment section.
All images were found on Wikipedia.
I love Van Gogh and also Dali. They both viewed the world in a different shift from center. :) Welcome to the A to Z!

Visiting from the A-Z Challenge. I think that is a beautiful family tribute - combining the names. :) I really like that idea!! One of my favorite paintings is the Girl with a Pearl Earring. I find it so beautiful!!

Thank you. I thought that my daddy had a pretty cool idea, too. :)
DeleteI think that the Girl with a Pearl Earring is a beautiful painting, too. I hope someday to be able to capture images like these artists, either by brush or by lens.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a blessed night!
Visiting on the 2nd day of the challenge. I 'collect' art on several of my pinterest boards and enjoy that very much. Hope you make lots of new blogging friends during the #challenge. If you have time or interest, come visit me. A writer, I am blogging about gardening this year from AtoZ. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you collect art on Pinterest. :) I'll have to visit and follow your Pinterest page and will be happy to visit and follow your blog, too. I love gardening...well, more specifically until I get a yard where I can grow things, I love dreaming about gardening, especially flowers, but vegetables, too.
