A to Z April Challenge: H is for Historic Homes

During our honeymoon, we were blessed to visit several historic homes. The first four on the list are those we visited on our honeymoon. The last one we have gone to several times as it is only about an hour away from our home here on the Texas Gulf Coast. One is the home of a man that shared a great-great-grandmother with me.

Can you guess which one is my favorite of all? Which house belonged to my distant cousin?

What historic homes or places have you visited?

  1. I've been to Graceland -- big Elvis fan -- the Hermitage (lived in Nashville) and the Biltmore Estate. I also love Mount Vernon. You've enticed me with what estate belonged to your relative.

    1. I've never been to Mount Vernon, but think that it would be fun to go. One estate that I would dearly love to visit some day is Monticello. Thomas Jefferson is allegedly one of my ancestors...6th great-grandpa or so. I haven't positively been able to confirm that yet.

Graceland is the estate that belonged to my distant cousin. :)

    1. You named the two in question. Biltmore is my most favorite of all those listed. The views are absolutely breathtaking! Graceland was the home of my distant cousin. :)
