What is your favorite kind of bread? (wheat, white, rye, sourdough, a gluten free type, etc.)
I really like potato bread, but I enjoy most any kind of white bread. I don't particularly care for things like rye, or whole wheat, or the more "brown" types of bread.
Would you go to an opera if someone you know was in it?
If my children were going to perform in it, then, yes, I would go. I don't know how long I could sit there for it because the tones/pitches/volume/whatever starts being very painful very quickly. I have trouble with constant headaches anyway and there are just some sounds that I can't take for long periods of time.
What is your favorite kind of citrus fruit?
I love oranges, lemons, limes and detest grapefruits. But, it doesn't really matter in the scheme of things which I like or don't like because I'm allergic to citrus fruits, so although I like oranges, I don't get to enjoy anything about them other than their wonderful smell.
Are you doing any home renovations or decorating projects?
What we're doing right now comes more under rearranging and de-cluttering than renovating or decorating. Perhaps those can come in the relatively near future. The bank account will have to have a major renovation before that can happen. :)
If you could sit in a rocking chair and view a beautiful scene, where would you be and what would you be looking at?
This one is easy! I would be sitting in that rocking chair on the patio of the Biltmore House overlooking the gorge at Mt. Pisgah in the fall. It is absolutely breathtaking! We spent part of our honeymoon there and I could totally see myself living there except for the whole having a gazillion rooms to take care of or staff to supervise. Heavenly Father really smile on that area of the country.
Good chat.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Denise. I hope that you have a blessed week!
DeleteI'm enjoying all the "rocking chair" answers!!! I love Biltmore....only been there once, but would love to visit again!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you will get to go there again. I think that it is probably the most beautiful place that I've ever been to.

I know just what you are talking about when you speak of Biltmore House estate. It is simply gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your answers!
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine being a child growing up in that house and playing hide-and-seek? You could hide for days and still not be found. :)
DeleteI would get lost in there for sure, but would be happy to be lost in a place so beautiful.

The view from Biltmore Estates is beautiful. I know you're in Texas, but are you originally from the east? It seems you may have eluded to this in a previous comment. I really want to get season passes for Biltmore this year, but it is 2-hours from us and with DH's work schedule now then I just don't know if it'll work out or not. *sigh* BTW, how did your doctor appointment go?
ReplyDeleteYes, I was born in Anderson, South Carolina and lived the first 39 years of my life there. It is a very long story, but we had to move here to Texas for safety reasons. I miss home very much. Over 300 years of my family history is in the upstate of South Carolina.
DeleteI hope that it will work out for you to get season passes to Biltmore House. Have you ever been there while it is decorated for Christmas? If not, I sure hope that you'll get to some day!
My appointment was rescheduled due to the doctor being sick. So, I get to fret over it for another month. :)

Ashville is an amazing town. I need to unclutter too. Too bad you are allergic to citrus. Allergies are no fun.
ReplyDeleteI agree; it is a nice place.
DeleteNo, allergies are no fun. They are a real pain sometimes. Each time I eat, it is a game of roulette because my reactions to different things are inconsistent. Things that I grew up eating without a problem are now a problem. Things that were a problem back then are a worse problem now. There are foods available here that I didn't even know about back in SC, but I'm afraid to try them. Kiwi was something that I tried first out here and I stopped breathing. Now I'm a big chicken about trying new things.
