QUESTIONS

Do you worry about what other people think?

Yes. I know that I shouldn't, but I do.

Do you own a sewing machine?

I own several, but the newer ones are hopelessly outdated. They aren't compatible with the operating system on my computer, so I can't use all of their bells and whistles anymore. I have a couple of old mechanical sewing machines, too.

Tell us about someone interesting in your life. Please.

I have had lots of interesting people in my life, but one I'd have to choose for now is our youngest
daughter. She is a character. She comes to us with questions that I never would have dared bring to
my parents, least of all my daddy. She keeps her own daddy in a state of shock. We can never be sure
what is going to come out of her mouth following the question, "Can I ask you a question?" Sometimes
they are totally personal questions and other times they are so far off the wall we wonder where on earth
she got the idea to have the question in the first place. I can't help but laugh when I think about the major
differences in how I grew up and how David grew up and how our little lady has somehow taken the
openness of her daddy's household through the roof to the point that even my mother-in-law would
have her shorts shocked!

Did you watch the Super Bowl?

No. I am not into sports. Our oldest daughter did and got disappointed because the Broncos lost.

What's the best dinner you had last week?

I can't remember what I had for dinner last night and you want me to remember last week? haha Okay...
I think that we had the meatloaf last week, so I'll choose that one. :)

    1. Thank you, Phoebe. She's almost 19 years old, but has always been this way. She's very open and generally quite direct. We've always encouraged her to say what's on her mind, though we very rarely expect what comes out of that mind. :)

I remember once when she was a little thing, maybe 4 years old. David's mama was at our house for a visit. Our daughter said something to her...I can't remember the first part of it, but it ended with "back when you were not fat". I thought I was going to have a bloomin' heart attack! I don't think that any of us were expecting that sweet little one to say such a thing to her Nana. My mother-in-law laughed it off.

This girl keeps us on our toes, that's for sure!

    1. I am sorry to hear that. From the look of your blog, you enjoy doing many other things. Cooking appears to be one of them. I used to enjoy cooking very much. When David and I were first married, I experimented with lots of things in regards to food. After the children came along and their tastes didn't coincide with ours, I didn't experiment so much in the kitchen. It was just too frustrating to cook something and have them not eat it. Oh well. We didn't need herbed livers anyway. haha
