QUESTIONS

If you are celebrating Thanksgiving, what are looking most forward to on Thursday?

The food, definitely, but beyond that I am looking forward to remembering Daddy and Granny and all those years of Thanksgivings together.

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is_________________.

All of it is my favorite! My daddy and granny made the best banana puddings that I've ever had and Granny made a totally delicious pineapple-coconut cake. Beyond those two, dressing topped with turkey, gravy, and cranberry sauce has to be my most favorite.

Do you ever go through periods of time when you get hooked on a specific food?

Yep! and it is always those that will expand my bottom line. Right now my "hooks" are potatoes and yeast rolls.

What's the best stuffing for a turkey?

I have never stuffed or eaten a stuffed turkey, so I wouldn't know. I grew up in South Carolina and we made cornbread dressing with sage, not stuffing.

When you were a child, were you ever in a Thanksgiving play, pageant, mock pilgrim dinner, or anything different to celebrate?

YES! and it was more painful than childbirth! I was in a Thanksgiving play, probably in first or second grade. I was a pilgrim. The pilgrim cap was secured onto my head via masking tape across my cheeks. It did NOT come off easily. It felt like they were ripping off my "wittle" cheeks when they went to remove it. To this day, I remember nothing about that play, only the removal of the pilgrim hat!

  2. A play that was more painful than childbirth? Sounds like your theatrical career ended early.

    1. Yes, it did. Along the way, I lost any desire for any sort of public performance, including going to the board in class. I'm sure this play experience didn't help matters at all. I find it funny that this is the only thing about that play that I can remember. I don't remember being on the stage at all!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope that your Thanksgiving was great!
