Chats on the Farmhouse Porch 2013: #43

Everyday Ruralty

I am happy to see that our friend Patrice is back with us this week!

Questions

Do you have any special plans for this week?

This coming Sunday (11/3) is our twenty-ninth wedding anniversary. We won't be able to celebrate that day, so we're going out Friday to enjoy some delicious fried catfish with the kids.

What's the most relaxing thing you do?

Reading is probably the most relaxing thing that I do, next to a very hot shower. Of course, sometimes reading isn't too relaxing, especially when you're reading family memoirs and the family is under attack.

I am reading a series called Sweet Annie by Joyce Bishop Morris. It is the memoir of a family that moved from Tennessee to Texas. I was drawn to it because of the name Annie. That was my great-grandmother's name and the inspiration for the name of this blog. I was pulled right into the story and cried right along with Annie at the sad moments of her life. I wish that I could write the stories of my family like Mrs. Morris has written hers!

Have you ever worn a wig?(play, dress-up, or for real)

I don't think that I've ever worn a wig. David has. It was a green wig that he wore in a womanless beauty contest years ago back home. He lost, but had a fun time.

Do you have an office or special place to use your computer?

Our computers are in our bedroom, which doubles as our home office.

Striped Toe Socks
What are your favorite kind of socks?

I don't have a favorite kind of socks, but I do have a least favorite kind of sock - the kind with the individual toes. I can't stand anything between my toes. Just the thought of wearing those make my toes do a freaky, tickly thing!

    1. Thanks, Patrice. We made it to it and through it. :)

I can imagine it and don't like the feeling one bit of things between my toes. One of our girls had toe socks years ago and I put them on to check them out. Shivers! It drove my toes nuts. If I have to wear socks, they better not have any between-the-toe things. Thankfully, I can wear sandals pretty much year round down here, so no socks for me. :)

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a great week!
