Monday Quiz About Me

Acting Balanced

1. Next Saturday is "Ask a Stupid Question Day"... in preparation for it, please share a stupid question you've been asked or would like an answer to...

Suzanne: The first stupid question that comes to my mind is the one that people asked me during each of my pregnancies after the first one: Do you know what causes that? YES! My mama had that talk with me when I was about eleven years old!

David: I am legally blind and have been for a long time. The most stupid question that I ever get asked related to that is: Do the closed captions on the television help you?

2. Do you believe that workplace dressing has become too casual?

Suzanne: Yes, but I think that most everything has gotten too casual. Some people can't even be bothered with putting clothes on to go shopping. They go in their pajamas. OY!

David: Absolutely! You go into offices that are supposedly professional and the women there are dressed as if they are going into one of those bars that my daddy warned me about and the men dress as if they've just come in from playing golf.

3. What technology is on your wish list? Is there a technology that hasn't been invented yet that you want to see happen?

Suzanne: I would love to have a state of the art embroidery/sewing machine with all of the bells and whistles. (Any recommendations, anyone?) I would also love to have a computer with more power, more memory, and a much larger hard drive than this one has. The technology that I would love to see be invented is similar to what David has in mind, only it would be a lie detector ray. It would pop a person in the nose when they told a lie so that their ever-larger nose would be a reminder of the hurt they are causing the ones they are lying to.

David: I would like a large, flat screen television that is Roku-ready. Technology that I would like to see invented would be some sort of stun beam that would zap people when they do something stupid. Of course, that one would come back to bite me quite a bit.

4. September is Honey Month - are you a fan of honey? How do you use it?

Suzanne: I love honey. I don't use it very often. I do like the tea that David makes with it, but I love it best on buttered biscuits.

David: Absolutely. I like to use it in a tea that helps to fight off infections and prevent allergic responses.

Bonus question for you to answer in the comment section:

Have you ever been compelled to do something that you didn't like because for some reason you were drawn to it? One example would be eating vinegar and salt potato chips. They have this weird twangy taste, that when you taste it is nasty. After a couple of minutes, you think "Those chips sure were nasty. I think I'll have another."

Suzanne: Aside from the chip example above, I can't think of anything at the moment.

David: For me, this is sort of like watching Bob's Burgers on television. I think it is the stupidest show I've ever seen, but for some reason, I watch it and enjoy it.

  1. I enjoyed reading your answers, especially #3 :)
I laughed about the salt and vinegar potato chips, and, yes, I'm drawn to them, too, even though the taste is rather odd.

    1. Thanks. Sometimes maybe it is good for us that we can't think things into existence. Some folks would be in big trouble. :)

I think that the salt and vinegar chips, as well as sour cream and onion chips, are icky, icky, so I'm generally able to resist that urge.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a great weekend!

  2. Great answers to the questions. I am not into flavored chips of any sort. In Canada one company has made perogi chips as well as maple/bacon chips. They even sound gross.

    1. I've never heard of perogi chips, but that sounds kind of interesting. Bacon is in all sorts of things down here, even in milkshakes. I'm not sure what I think of that one. :)
