Questions:

Bookshelves at the library
by Westcott Phillip,
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

1. September is National Library Card month - when was the last time you checked a book out of the library?

We last got a couple of books from our local library at the end of July. We make a lot of use of the inter-library loan program. They weren't able to get the last two books that I wanted. They were genealogy books on one of my family lines back in South Carolina.

2. What are you most looking forward to about autumn?

I am looking forward to potentially cooler weather. One can hope, can't she?

3. Has the word Christmas entered your vocabulary yet?

Not really, aside from answering questions in the memes. Thanksgiving is my preferred holiday.

4. Do you care that Football season is starting? Who is your team?

I wouldn't even notice if football season didn't happen! I am not a sports fan.

Bonus question to be answered in the comment section:

What would you do if you were approaching your driveway to find a car speeding through your front yard and out your driveway?

  1. If I saw a car speeding out of my driveway, I'd make an attempt to get a tag number and description of the car.

    1. That would be a good thing to do. It happened so fast, that I wouldn't have even thought to do it. In this case, it was our neighbor, so I knew right where to go to have a talk with them about not doing that anymore. They were zooming so fast through the yard, there's no way they were watching out for the kitties and could have killed them.

  2. Actually, in the neighborhood I live in that'd be grounds that my house was robbed. The first thing I'd be horrifically concerned about was if my dogs were okay.

    1. I understand completely. Our kitties were my first thought, too. Thankfully, none of them were run over.

  5. Hi Suzanne! I would be terrified. Frozen. Absolutely no help whatsoever. I hope someone else sees it too!

    1. Hi Ceil. A yard full of folks saw it, but it was the yard that the intruding car came out of to start with. They would have been on that driver's side. It was a very frustrating moment. These same people "borrowed" our grill one weekend without asking, too. Grr.

  6. I enjoy watching football with DH, and if it weren't for him then I football would slip by me unnoticed. Football is only fun because I share in the experience with DH! I am VERY much looking forward to cooler weather, too. This summer has been a long hot one for me. Normally summers are short and hot. I guess it's where I spent most of the spring/summer recuperating from diverticulitis and surgery. Thankfully, I'm doing very well now. This is one reason why I haven't hopped over to see you, plus my brain is kinda screwed up from being majorly off track. lol BTW, be sure to come by my blog to enter my Diamond Candles giveaway that went live yesterday. Just click on the link: here!

    1. I am so glad to hear that you're doing very well now, Cathy. I am sorry that you were so sick. Anemia and a few other things did a real number on my brain, so I understand completely where you're coming from. I'll hop on over to check out your giveaway.
