Monday Quiz About Me

Acting Balanced

Questions:

1. What is your favorite 'G Rated' activity that you like to share with your SO or BFF?

I like to play games with David, most especially card games and trivia and word games.

2. Do you buy summer clothes at the end of season clearance sales?

No. I pretty much wear the same type of clothes year round. It rarely gets cold enough here to warrant the purchase of winter clothes, so basically my whole wardrobe, such as it is, would qualify as summer clothes. When I need something, I get it then, whether it is on sale or not. However, I do my best to avoid having to do clothes shopping for myself. I can't stand it!

3. August 13th is national left-handers day. How many left handed people do you know?

I've met many in our convenience store dealings, but I don't remember their names. The closest that I can get to someone that I know/knew personally was my grandma, and she was both left- and right-handed - ambidextrous.

4. When you go swimming do you: a) jump into the pool; b) gently move into the pool; or c) dive in?

I don't go swimming anymore and if I did, at this point in my life, someone would have to throw me in, because I wouldn't go in willingly!

Bonus question to answer in the comment section:

Most families have a skeleton or two in the closet. Have you ever discovered a deep, dark, family secret? What did you do with it when you found it? Have you shared it with other family members, or have you opted to keep it to yourself?

  1. Yes we have skeletons in our family closet and I really don't want to know more about them.

    1. I understand that. There are a few that I wish had stayed buried in mine.

    1. I think that it is fun to make discoveries although the specifics of some discoveries might not be so fun. Finding bad things in the family history hasn't altered one bit my desire to research it. I'm glad that you enjoy it, too.

Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting. I hope that you have a great week!

  3. There may be skeletons there, but I've never personally found one. I'd probably just as soon not know.

    1. It can be a fun adventure, but some of the skeleton discoveries can be quite upsetting. Others are just too confusing to try to figure out. :)

  4. It's funny you mentioned this ... I was just thinking about the family meal several years ago when a big family skeleton was revealed... I'm sure there are more out there but I prefer thinking of the good times!

    1. Family dinners can bring up all sorts of interesting tidbits, can't they? I know I usually learned lots of new words at our family get togethers, especially when Granny and my mama weren't exactly seeing eye to eye.

    1. I enjoyed swimming when I was younger, up until the point that I almost drowned in my aunt's pool. It wasn't as much fun after that. My husband tried to teach me to swim while we were at college, but I just couldn't relax enough to do it properly.

  6. HI Suzanne! Hey! I'll throw you in the pool! LOL! But you probably wouldn't enjoy that, so maybe not...

Yikes, am I supposed to offer up a skeleton in my closet?? After you, my dear :)

I love this idea of a quiz for a bloghop, I get to learn a little bit more about you. And I like that!

    Happy Tuesday!

    1. Hi Ceil! If you threw me in the pool, I'd probably go into a panic attack. :)

Offering up the skeletons is purely optional. I was just wondering mostly how people have handled them when they've found them.

There are lots of fun question-based bloghops out there. I especially enjoy Monday Quiz about Me and Chats on the Farmhouse Porch, which is on Tuesdays. Both are lots of fun.

  7. Most of what I've found out is public knowledge. I try to stay away from my family as they make everything a drama and I don't want to be a part of it.

    1. Having gone through an estrangement in my own family, I understand how you feel. Sometimes it is better/safer to not be around particular people or groups of people, at least for a time.
