Questions from Patrice's Porch:

My oldest daughter has returned to college for her second year. Could I get you to give her some good wishes here? Please?

Best wishes to you as you enter your second year of college. I hope that it is a great year!

Summer is about to move on, what will you miss the most? And the least?

I can't think of a single thing about a Texas summer that I would miss. The heat overrides everything that could possibly be great about it. I spend pretty much all of it inside.

Are you currently working on any craft, sewing, DIY home, or any other creative project?

Yes, I am working through my yarn stash making lapghans. I might also try to make walker bags, but don't have the logistics of those worked out yet.

If you could have any treatment at a spa for free, what would it be?

If they could offer a doctor repellent, I'd go for it. The last two times that I've gone to the doctor they've found bad things. The appointment Saturday was no exception. Otherwise, I can't think of anything that a spa has to offer that I would want or need at the moment.

What's your favorite kind of pasta?

I love ravioli! I'd love to learn how to make it from scratch.

    1. Thank you, Phoebe. I love your name, by the way. I have only found it once in my family tree. It is a pretty name.

  2. It is much hotter where you are. Yuck! I'm sorry to hear you have found out bad things at the doctor's. I will keep you in my prayers.

    1. Thankfully, it has been a little cooler the last couple of days, though still in the 90s. We've been having thunderstorms, too.

Thank you for the prayers. Once I get a definitive diagnosis, I will probably make a post about what's going on. I don't know when that will be.

    1. Fall is one of my favorite seasons back home in SC, especially along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The color changes are just beautiful. We don't get that here in this part of Texas. Winter is my all-time favorite season no matter what state we're in.

  5. Mississippi summers are almost as bad. I don't know how our ancestors survived without air conditioning.

    1. I wonder about that often. I have been told that it is much hotter in our times than it was, say, way back in the 1700s. Even if it was actually cooler in the old days, I still would want to have air conditioning. :)
