Please come on over to join us on Patrice's porch and don't forget to bring a carrot or two for Wendell!
1.What's your favorite clock- digital or an old fashioned face with hands?
For looks, nothing beats an old-fashioned clock with a face and hands. But, for my brain these days, I need the ease of a digital clock if it's the time I'm needing.
2.What's your favorite type of bird?
I would have to say the cardinal is my favorite bird, and not just because of their beautiful red color. The chinking sound that they make while looking for their family is comforting. I've heard that they are married for life; they are truly family.
3.How do you feel about being in front of people? This could include meetings, speeches, performing, or just saying something at a party.
The thought of it scares me to death and has ever since elementary school. If I have to get up in front of people, I start shaking and my tongue swells. I can literally hear (and feel!) my heart pounding. And, at this stage of the game, I would probably wet my pants, too, from being so nervous. I am painfully shy and introverted. I am a behind-the-scenes person, just way better in the background rather than the foreground.
4.What's the last item of clothing that you purchased?
The last clothing item purchased by or for me was a St. Patrick's Day t-shirt that says "Everyone loves an Irish girl".
5.Please give me a caption or a Wendell quote for this picture.
My husband offers this one: "Keep laughing, gals. Patrice is warming up the skillet right now."
Love the caption! Great one!

Hilarious caption for the picture! LOL My dad's mother loved cardinals, as do I. I love their red color- red is my favorite and it was my grandmother's favorite too!
ReplyDeleteHe says thanks. I married one funny guy, that's for sure. :)

Very nice caption. I have only seen one cardinal in my whole life. That is one kind of bird I wish we had.
ReplyDeleteThanks. :)
DeleteWow. I can't imagine only ever having seen one cardinal. We have lots of them around here. There was, at one time, a family of them living in a tree in our backyard. We were blessed to witness the flying lessons of the babies. It was fun to watch.

I have an Everyone loves an Irish Girl tee shirt, too. =D
ReplyDeleteOh! Heavens, your husband's comment made me laugh. That's royally good stuff!
David says thanks. His ego is really getting fed here. haha
DeleteCool! What color is your Irish Girl shirt? Mine is gray with green and pink lettering with a heart-shape with striping like the Irish flag, only the stripes are green, white, and pink instead of green, white, and orange. There's a shamrock in the heart as well. The word "Irish" is sparkly like glitter paint.

Your caption - well, your husband's - is too funny.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had cardinals here...they are so pretty.
He says thanks. :)
DeleteI'm sorry that you don't have cardinals where you live. I can't imagine not having them around. We had them where we lived in South Carolina and here in our yard in Gulf Coast Texas. We see blue jays, too, though not quite as many of them as cardinals.

I LOVE your caption ... er, your husband's!!

Have a great week!
Cardinals are even more special now that I have that info. Wendell would laugh as he said that. He tried to chase them away the other day. Have a splendid week!
ReplyDeleteI think that they are very special birds, too. I also like chickens. :)
DeleteI'm glad that Wendell liked David's comment. He's a pretty funny guy.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting and for hosting such a fun meme. Have a great week!
Having moved across country, I do have to admit that I miss Cardinals. Even the crazy male that used to do battle with the Cardinal he found in my rear view mirror! He came back year after year to protect his territory from that darn bird... and he'd leave all manner of poop down the side of my car!
ReplyDeleteLoved your quote... well, hubby's quote!
