Five Minute Friday: Rest

For five minutes on Fridays, we write without stopping, without editing, without self-correcting (or letting others peek over our shoulders and correct us!). It is for-fun writing. This week's Five Minute Friday prompt is: Rest.
===

Rest...I don't feel like I've rested at all in my entire life. I know that can't be true, really, but I hit the ground running, according to my mama, the day that I was born. The last few years especially, it feels like we've gone non-stop, though I know things slowed down significantly while I was sick last year.

There are different kinds of rest. Naps, obviously, are a form of physical rest. Sitting down and watching TV for some people is a form of rest. Reading works for others. Writing is a form of rest for me...sometimes. Other times it is just downright work! These things are a mental rest, of sorts. Cuddling with loved ones can be a great form of physical and emotional rest.

Five Minute Friday posts are always fun and therefore a mental rest for me. It is something that I enjoy participating in. I look forward each week to finding out the new prompt. Please click the button above this post to join in the fun!

  1. Well, well. A Five Minute Friday gal AND a Texas Blogging Gal. Me too. I like your description of all the different forms of rest. I'm going to sleep now, until Hubby gets home in the middle of the night from a LONG trip, and then I'll get some cuddle-rest. Have a blessed day.

    Carey, I wake up sleepy. No matter how many hours I sleep, I am a zombie. haha

    I'm glad that you all enjoy Five Minute Friday, too. Have a wonderful weekend!
