Going to college can be hard. Going to college in a different state makes it even more difficult and lonesome. In the book God Is...: Lessons I Learned about God in College by Nysi Kilgore, the author takes us along with her through her college years.Along the way, Kilgore learned that she did not have to do it all alone. She did not have to be perfect and not everyone is your friend.
The author provides scripture references, most of them from The Message, regarding the issue discussed. If you are from a more traditional church background, you may want to keep a copy of your favorite translation of the Bible handy so that you can read the scriptures in a more traditional format.
We give God Is… all five stars. We feel this book is very well-written and timely for anyone getting ready to head off to college or who is already there.
This book would make a great reference for the older youth to use in a small Bible discussion group, so you may wish to buy multiple copies.
