This post departs from my challenge theme a little bit today, though there will still be a Statesmen Quartet video at the end.
Please say a prayer for our town, which is Wharton, Texas. Really, prayers are needed for this whole 9-county region of Texas. The governor has declared a state of disaster because of the flooding. Below are a few photos taken in our town on Thursday, 21 April 2016. Flood stage for the Colorado River at Wharton is 39 feet. As you can see by the gauge, the river is now over 48 feet (as of 5pm, 21 April 2016). The river is expected to be even higher by morning.

The road that the police cars are on will likely be underwater by morning.
Both of the above photos were taken at the Riverfront Park on Elm Street, which is about a mile from our house. The part of the river that is closest to our house is only about a quarter mile away.
These last two images were taken just beyond the exit for FM 102 at US 59, which is about 4 miles from our house.
Thank you for any prayers that you send up for our area. It could get much worse before it gets better, but here's hoping the river is on its way down as I type this, regardless of what the predictions say.
I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I know Who holds tomorrow. Heavenly Father has this river under control, no matter what happens.
