Here are my responses:

Before you go swimming in this part of Texas, you need to check for alligator eyeballs peeking out of the water and snakes slither-swimming.

After you do that, proceed with caution.

Winter doesn’t find them hibernating, but it sometimes makes them dormant when it gets cold.

Spring brings with it courtship and love of the alligator variety. Did you know that some mama ‘gators can lay up to 90 eggs in one season?!?!?! I think it is cool that they take care of their babies until they are two or three years old. They don’t just lay the eggs and forget them like some other reptiles, such as snakes, do.
