This is a fun meme co-hosted by 15 and Meowing and McGuffy's Reader. Be sure to visit and join in the fun!

Here are the fill-ins:

1. I can’t wait to eat _____________________ on Thanksgiving.
2. My favorite kind of pie is ______________________________.
3. This year, I am particularly thankful for _______________.
4. A funny holiday tradition in my/our house is ____________.

Here are my responses:

I can’t wait to eat ALL THE THINGS on Thanksgiving. My favorite Thanksgiving food is: turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, gravy, mac & cheese, green bean casserole, squash casserole, rolls. We don’t usually have banana pudding or pineapple coconut cake, but they were features at Thanksgiving at Granny’s house while I was growing up.

I like apple pie, pecan pie, and pumpkin pie is okay, too.

This year I am thankful for the improvements in my vision. I know that Heavenly Father is healing my eyes and removing the cataracts Himself!

We don’t have any particularly funny holiday traditions that I can remember at the moment. Funny things happen, sure, but I don’t know of any that are traditions.

Have a blessed weekend, y’all, and a very Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Suzanne,

I'm with you on being ready for all things Thanksgiving. There isn't anything that I'm not looking forward to having next week. It's all so yummy. I do a little something every day two weeks prior to Thanksgiving. This keeps things sane for me and I enjoy cooking more. I nearly have everything done. The only thing left is the gravy. I'm delighted with the good news of your vision improvements. That's something we're celebrating with DH, as you know. God is awesome to grant us our prayer requests. Let me send warm wishes for a joyful, blessed Thanksgiving, my friend!

  4. Thanksgiving at Granny's was a sight to behold. It would be great if we could have her "Stub her toe" again. I love you, my Zing!

  5. As someone who has never celebrated Thanksgiving, I always think that the food sounds wonderful so do enjoy it all. My beloved recently made a pumpkin pie that was delicious so that's on my list too.

  6. Sounds like a good menu! It really doesn't matter to me what we eat. But I'm making a fruit salad this year. Didn't make one last year, so I'm excited. I never met a pie I didn't like. Lemon, chocolate, coconut and buttermilk are some favs.
