Book Review: Lowcountry Boneyard By Susan M Boyer

Lowcountry Boneyard
By Susan M Boyer

Wow! is all we can say about Lowcountry Boneyard.  This is a very intriguing and entertaining book.

We love the Liz Talbot books because they are set in our homeplace.  Susan Boyer, the author, is from South Carolina and incorporates a lot of real South Carolina places and even some real South Carolina citizens.

In Lowcountry Boneyard, we are given the facts and suppositions in doses just large enough for us to create our own theories of who done it. Most of the time we are wrong but, the evidence that actually leads up to the criminal is there all along.

This is a great story of how family is supposed to work, and so often doesn’t, alongside another family that just doesn’t work like it should.

We give Lowcountry Boneyard all five stars.  It is masterfully written with all kinds of excitement.  Many mysteries today leave you asking yourself, “Why didn’t such and such happen?”  This is not like that.  The evidence all fits very well together.  There are no loose ends like in some books out there.

Too many fiction writers fall into a predictable rut and readers who have been following the series can guess the outcome early in the book.  So far Boyer has not fallen into that rut.

Lowcountry Boneyard is anything but predictable. We read it straight through, only stopping for a quick bite to eat. You won’t want to put it down, either.

Grab your copy and put on a pot of coffee and enjoy Lowcountry Boneyard.  You will love it.

    1. I think this is the most interesting in the series so far. #2 was too graphic in the romance department to suit me, but this one (#3) has none of that. There are implied situations, but it doesn't give details and I don't want to read intimate details. I read a mystery for the mystery, not the romance. :)

      Have a blessed day.
