Important Notice!!!

Praise the Lord! After 6 weeks or so of dealing with medical facilities, we are finally back in our own home. David's foot is looking much, much better. There are still a few hurdles to cross, but he'll make it.

Please bear with us as we get adjusted to being home again and get back in the swing of blogging again.

Thank you for continued prayers!!!

Also, if you'd love to help cheer him up since YouTube has decided he is unworthy of monetization since his isn't a huge channel, please subscribe to his YouTube channel and watch the videos. That would really make his day! He has to have at least 1000 subscribers and 4,000 minutes of watch time within 30 days in order to be able to keep the monetization option.

A is for April #AtoZChallenge

Annie Black Gunter

A is for Annie, the inspiration for the name of this blog.  Annie Black Gunter was my great-grandmother, through my daddy's daddy.  My daddy knew her as "Big Mama".  I am named for her and her sister Suzie.

April is a big birthday month for our family.  All of our grandmothers, except for one, were born in April.

In the order of their birth date (month/day), here they are:

Maggie Pressley Spence
Maggie Pressley Spence, my maternal grandma, was born 2 April 1917.

Evelyn Floree Fowler Gunter
Evelyn Floree Fowler Gunter, my paternal granny, was born 14 April 1921.

Ruby Fowler McClendon
Ruby Fowler McClendon, David's paternal grandma, was born 29 April 1910.

These great ladies have all gone on to their Heavenly reward.  We are very blessed, and forever grateful, to have had them in our lives.

  1. Wow! What a wonderful tribute and a great start to the challenge. I love you. ZIng! Zing!

  2. Nice tribute to some important ladies! What does the PS mean?

    1. Thank you. :) It stands for "postscript", like the stuff you add after the end of a letter. I'm always remembering after I end a letter or hang up the phone that I had something else to say.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a blessed weekend.

  3. A wonderful post. I am an April baby too. April 8th

    1. Thanks, Paula. :) Happy birthday to you, too. I hope you have a wonderful birthday!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a blessed week. :)
