My name is Suzanne. Suzanne is of French origin and means "Lily". I love the meaning of my name! Flowers are one of my most favorite things to photograph. If I were in charge of deciding what my name means, I wouldn't change its meaning at all. In that a flower is multi-petaled and I am a multi-faceted person, I think my name is a good reflection of who I am.

ReplyDeleteThank you. I think names are important, too. I don't like it when, after repeatedly being told my name, people still insist on calling me Susan. I can't put into words how it actually makes me feel, but it isn't good. My Papa Gunter was the only one with a free pass on that one. His Aunt Suzie was really named Susan, so it was logical that he would make that mistake, since I was partly named after her. :)
DeleteThere are people that assume it is okay to call David "Dave". He doesn't like it when people are assuming like that, but doesn't generally say anything to them about it. He just goes with the flow.
