Brain Injury Awareness Month

March is Brain Injury Awareness Month.

As many of you know, on 26 May 2016, David suffered the first of three strokes. Thankfully, we have now made it nine months without another recurrence. We thank Heavenly Father for this!  David continues to recover with each passing day. There will always be some glitches, but we are adjusting to our new normal.  Not everyone is so lucky.  Please pray for all of those out there that are adjusting to life after a brain injury, however they acquired the injury.

  1. In so many ways, a brain injury is the worst. The upside is the brain's amazing ability to overcome and relearn pathways that muscle, bone and nerves can't.

    1. I agree! It is amazing the things a brain can do to repair itself and other parts of the body, too. Continuing to learn and introducing new things can help the brain develop more pathways that can help to overcome damage, too. Heavenly Father never intended for us to remain broken and made a body that can heal itself in many situations.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a blessed week!
