Looking out my window....I see a beautiful, sun-shiny day.

As I ponder....how we’re going to survive the next three weeks, especially now that David's other big toe is infected.

What I am learning...is that nature in Texas is totally amazing!
What I’m creating...I have several works in progress at the moment. Okay, not much progress is being made on them, but several things have been started. The projects that I have going are: Grandmother’s Flower Garden crocheted afghan, another coloring page from the inspiration coloring book, and toying with the idea of creating a journal. I need to study more about bookbinding and paper-making for this project.

What I’m reading....
several books for review. The titles are A Drop of Water and Bossed Up.

What I'm watching...
I am watching David as he reads FoxTrot comics.

What I’m hearing...
I am hearing the children next door playing and wondering why they are home at this time on a school day.

What’s on my camera...
Suz standing near bluebonnet foliage...in January!

News from our house...We are getting ready to start a very long three weeks tomorrow, trying to help a friend through a difficult point in his life.
What I’m drinking....I am drinking Diet Coke and water.

What’s happening in the kitchen...
Nothing of any significance is happening in our kitchen at the moment.

A quote I want to share...
Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one. ― C.S. Lewis (via Thought Catalog)

A final thought...
I don’t like being caught between a rock and a hard place.  There are things that are right for me to do, on the one hand, but I don’t like what I’ll have to pay for doing it, and I don’t mean financially. I find myself gasping for air more and more lately. But, I know that, somehow, Heavenly Father has all of this covered. He knows what is ahead, I don’t. He knows the rest of the story and He has it covered. I just have to hold tight to Him till I get to The End.

  1. I hope you are not going to do much "gasping for air" as you help the friend in need. Sometimes we need to help ourselves first! I love the quote! Stay beautiful!!

    1. Thank you. :) This gasping isn't just about the next three weeks. It is over several things that have happened recently and my heart and thoughts just really don't know where to settle. Some days it is like I spend all day in pre-panic mode. I can't wait to get beyond this stage, otherwise I think I will explode.

I'm glad that you like the quote. :)

You stay beautiful, too, and have a blessed day. :)

  2. I understand gasping for air. You may mean figuratively, but it applies to both sometimes. (I am so congested! My lungs are already compromised.) My prayers and thoughts are with you. I don't know what your friend is going through, but God is there.

    1. I meant it both figuratively and literally. I am having a harder and harder time breathing, thanks to the COPD, but also thanks to pre-panic attacks. Thankfully, I haven't had a full-on panic attack in a very long time.
Thank you for the prayers. You are in mine, too. I'm sorry that your breathing is compromised, too.
      Have a blessed day. :)
