30 Days of Thankfulness: Day 21

And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
Isaiah 12:4-5

People who live the most fulfilling lives are the ones who are always rejoicing at what they have.
-- Richard Carlson

What are you thankful for today?
I am thankful that we will have our youngest daughter home with us tonight and for the rest of this week.

UPDATE:  We will not be getting our daughter tonight after all. We will pick her up tomorrow evening. Someone dropped out of the play they were producing, so now she has to be there to cover for them.  I am thankful to have her home whenever that is. :)

  1. Just found this after you posted a lovely comment on my blog. I love the idea of 30 days of Thankfullness. I'm a bit late to join with you , but may well start my own. It gives you so much peace with life if you can be grateful for everything.
I would be interested to know more about you.

  2. I am thankful for coming to your blog today! Have fun with your daughter. They just don't come home often enough once they are grown.

    1. I am thankful that you came to visit here today, too. :) Thank you! We will get our youngest daughter tomorrow and our oldest daughter is here already. Neither of our sons will be here, but we hope to be able to talk to the youngest one (Marine) via Skype sometime this week. Our oldest is under the sea somewhere in a submarine (Navy).

That is very true! We only get to spend time with our youngest daughter maybe 4 visits a year. Our oldest daughter stayed out of school this semester to help me since her daddy had the strokes back in May. By the time our Marine gets to come home again, it will have been 2 years since we last saw him. I was not at all prepared for this part of motherhood.

I hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, filled with family and food and lots of sweet memories made. Have a blessed day, too!

  3. Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful every day for my Father's love, my husband, my family, my friends, and every blessing I enjoy each day - hot water, food, home, bed, and the list goes on.
