I have never really been one for dancing, at least not in public, and not really at home either if I think anyone is watching. Sometimes, though, my shell of shyness cracks a little and I cut loose even if David or the kids are watching. I don't know that I do a very good job of keeping time with the music. I just do what feels right or good. I have no formal dance training. I'm not up on what's "in" in the dance world. I wouldn't know a moonwalk from a mashed potato. But, I do know what feels fun to me.

Could I Have This Dance - Anne Murray

  1. I always feel silly dancing because I am 5ft. 10 inches so I feel like I stick out. I love this song, it was our first dance at our wedding, we took lessons before so we wouldn't look like fools.

    1. I see we're on opposite ends of the height spectrum here. :) I used to be 4'10.75", but I've started shrinking and am now about 4'9" according to our youngest daughter. At this rate, I'll disappear before too long. I bet you'd fit right in with the other dancers out there.

How sweet that this was the song for your first dance together as husband and wife. :) We didn't have a first dance. I don't think that Southern Baptists allow dancing. I grew up Church of God and Pentecostal Holiness and there was always movement going on there. I would have been too bashful to dance in front of everyone anyway. I think you were mighty brave!

  2. Sweet post. I love this song. Anne Murray was always a favourite. Bill plays some of her songs, too...even if I don't dance.

    1. Thank you, Annie. It was the first song that I thought of when this word came up on the list. I think that she has a nice voice and the song is great. The music, the words, everything about it. :)
