Title: Rapid Teamwork
Publication Date: 2015
Author: Sean Glaze
Genre: Non-fiction, Business
Note: This is page 56 of the printed version.
"Tolstoy wrote that "Happy families are all alike; but every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way."
Though this book is about building teamwork at one's place of employment, it seems to me potentially destructive to the other teams in one's life, such as the team known as "family". If building relationships at work is going to potentially destroy the relationships at home, it is not worth it to me. Family is everything. I'd rather be poor and have my family than be rich and lose them.
Sounds like a great book for management positions to read. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I don't know whether it is great or not in the scheme of things, but it has definitely been fodder for conversation around here.

Hmm...that's very interesting that it starts with an Anna Karenina quote. :)
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings).
Thank you. You'd think anything quoting Tolstoy would be interesting, but parts of this book are more irritating than interesting to me. But, I will fight my way through it and finish it. The other one that I'm reading, The Oliphants in Scotland, is far more interesting and agreeable.
