QUESTIONS

Bacon or sausage? If vegetarian, what do you have for breakfast?

I like both alright, but bacon is the best. I love it, which is part of the reason that I'm having such a difficult time going vegan again.

Do you take time to "smell the roses"?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I am trying to enjoy a slower pace in my life, which is aided by the fact that the kids aren't taking classes this summer. I'm the only driver in the family right now, so I chauffeur everyone everywhere. The hectic pace will resume in about eight weeks or so.

What's your favorite stone fruit? (Peaches, nectarines, plums, apricots, and cherries are in the stone fruit family.)

Cherries, but peaches come in a close second.

What is the thing people notice most about your personality? ( quiet- outgoing- polite-funny-etc.)

I don't know that they notice my personality. They are generally too busy making rude comments about my height or, rather, my lack of it.

Is there a hobby that you have wanted to do, but haven't started yet?

I would love to learn to do pottery, like my ancestors in the 1800s did. One forefather started the alkaline glazing technique in Edgefield, South Carolina and then migrated to northeast Georgia where he trained people in the technique there, too. He was considered a pioneer of this technique.

I would also love to learn to play the bagpipes and saxophone but, with COPD, there's no chance now of that happening. I just don't have the lung power anymore (not that I ever did!)

    1. Thank you. That is pretty much what my grandma told me years ago, too, that I was fine the way Heavenly Father made me. :) Another sweet friend reminded me that we are all made in His image, we are all wonderfully made. I've finally gotten to a point that being short doesn't bother me so much. Sometimes it is an advantage. It is just people being rude about it that bothers me.

    1. Thanks, Beth. I'm nowhere near starting it for now. I'm in the reading and wishing stage, lots of daydreaming. But, maybe someday. :)

    1. I think so, too. I'm just wondering how smelly a hobby it is. Strong smells cause me breathing problems and make my chest and head hurt. I've only ever seen people do it on television and in books. No clues about the smells there, but a good clue about it being a messy fun time. :)

    1. Thank you, Patrice. I thought that it was interesting, too, when I found out about my family's link to pottery. I just wish that creative gene had been just a bit stronger in me. :)
