QUESTIONS

From Suzanne at P.S. Annie!:  Are you part of the back to nature/ecological group or are you more of the mindset of "I'll do what I want and everything will work out in the end"?

I am somewhere in between. I try not to be wasteful and I reuse what I can. I am reading what I can to learn about making things from paper as a way to recycle some of the paper that enters our home. We have reduced the usage of our clothes dryer recently by using drying racks instead. That isn't much in the grand scheme of things, maybe, but it should have several benefits in the end. But, I can't do things like walking to where I need to go to reduce gas consumption because everywhere that I need to go is nowhere near our house. It is generally way too hot to do walking farther than our mailbox here in Gulf Coast Texas!

From Stacey at Happy Bride to be:  What's a favorite dinner dish to make?

I think that one of the favorite things of our kids is tacos. Lasagna is usually a winner, too.

From Melanie at Melanie at A Year of Jubilee Reviews:  What animals have you seen give live birth?

I've seen cats and cows give birth.

From Anne at Homeschool on the Croft:  If you had the opportunity to teach something, what would you teach?

We homeschooled our children. Does that count? I had the opportunity to teach a woman in another town how to crochet, but someone in my household got sick and she suffered an arm injury about the same time and it just never worked out in the end. I would love to become a certified genealogist and teach others how to research their family histories. Though I don't see that happening in the very near future, I haven't ruled out the possibility of it completely.

From Madonna at Butterfly Acres:  What did you love most about school?

In regards to subject matter, I loved history. At recess in elementary school, one of my favorite things was the games we played with the parachutes. Although I am way too claustrophobic for it now, my favorite one had us all standing around the edges of the parachute holding it and running in a circle. We'd toss it up as we let go and run under it. That was a blast!

    1. Thank you! We usually make tacos using a meat substitute because one of our daughters doesn't eat meat. All of them love this version. My husband and I like it, too.

  4. We homeschooled, too. I didn't even think to consider that as part of my answer. I guess I had my brain elsewhere. Tacos are a great, easy, and fun dinner idea. I haven't made them in awhile. Maybe, I'll have to do that sometime soon.

    1. With so much on our minds these days, it would be easy enough to not think about it. My brain is always somewhere else these days, I guess trying to figure out where it should be since the kids don't need me so much now that they're in college.

Enjoy your tacos whenever you do have them again. :)

    1. Ooh Jacks were fun! How far were you able to get up to? I can't remember how many I could do at a time, but it was fun to play. I haven't played Jacks in ages. :)
