Chats on the Farmhouse Porch 42: #34

The questions:
What do your everyday dishes look like?
Our dishes are Corelle Vitrelle, but I do not know the pattern name. It has red and pink flowers and green leaves around the perimeter of the plates. It isn't family, but it works for us.
What shoes are you likely to throw on in a pinch right now? "Go to" shoes.
My sandals are my "go to" shoes. I don't even have to bend to put them on, just slide in my feet and go.
What's the last gift you were given?
The last gift that I remember being given was a $25 Amazon gift card.
The first face you saw this morning was-------------------.
The first face that I saw this morning was David's face, unless you count the faces in my dreams (weird though they are!).
What cup or mug are you most likely to grab for your tea or coffee? What's your "cuppa"cup?
David and I have matching glasses for our iced tea. They are heavy (to me), hold more than a pint, but less than a quart, and they have handles.

  1. I used to have some Corelle plates. Our's were early versions with only one color. I still have a few plates hanging around.
Hooray for shoes you can simply slip into!

    1. Were yours the ones with blue flowers? I have some of those that were my grandma's and some with the little gold flowers, too, but just a few.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a great weekend!

  2. The Correlle came in handy when little people in our house started carrying their own plates. They're so light. I like sandals too.I hope you have a wonderful week!

    1. They come in handy for dropsy old people, too (like 46 year old me!). I'm forever dropping things. :)

  4. That's why my flip flops are my go to shoes- I just slip them on and go. Your dream faces sound interesting- do tell us more!

    1. Flip-flops drive me nuts. I can't stand anything between my toes. :)

I would tell more about those dream faces, but right now I can't remember what the weird faces in that particular dream were. I do remember that in a recent dream I was in a car with Monk. haha

  5. I'm a flip flop girl too. When our daughter was small, she would confuse my slippers with my flippers. Popping in from Everyday Ruralty. Have a wonderful week :o) It was nice meeting you.

    1. How cute about your little girl. :)

My sandals just have the strap that goes across the toes, not between the toes. It curls my toes just thinking about flip-flops, but I'm glad that you enjoy yours. :)

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. It was nice meeting you, too. Have a great weekend!

  6. Interesting post! My everyday dishes are a mish mash of various plates I've collected. I can't decide on what new set to buy, so I have a few stragglers from old sets and a few interesting plates I've picked up at thrift stores. One day I'll settle on a new set!
This summer I think I'll live in my flip flops! Love that they are so comfy and so easy to put on!

    1. I think that eclectic is fun. There's no need to throw out or stop using perfectly good dishes just because we get new ones, right? :) You can find some really cool things at thrift stores.

Have fun with your flip-flops this summer. We're having days in the 90s already here. I wore my sandals pretty much all winter.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Have a great weekend!
